PHOTO LINKS

Images of Sudan are hard to find on the internet and elsewhere. This page hosts numerous links to sites that provide images of Sudan and the Sudanese resettlement experience. SORA encourages the exploration of these sites as a simple introduction to the circumstances from which people in the Diaspora depart.

Please be respectful of the intellectual property in these images and ask permission from the author of these sites before use of the images is made elsewhere.

Trek Earth Sudan (website)

Trek Earth's mission is to 'foster a global community interested in photography from around the world' by offering a space for photographers to post and discuss their work. The site is organised by region and country, and offers a forum for fellow photographers to respond to and critique online work. The Sudan section contains some beautiful photographs of people and places in and around Khartoum. Each photograph is accompanied by an explanation of where the picture was taken, who or what it is of, and usually some background on why the subject inspired the photographer.
